Showcase Sunday (1)

Showcase Sunday is a meme hosted by Vicky @ Books, Biscuits and Tea where you can showcase your newest books and book related swag for that week and share it with everyone.

I've had an awesome book week as my post-Christmas orders finally arrived :) Here's a pic of all my new book babies:

As you can see I've already started Under the Never Sky and I'm enjoying it so far. I also got a copy of Through the Ever Night given how many good things I'd heard about the series. Breathe and Mystic City are both books I heard about from the Top 10 of 2012 event because of their gorgeous covers and they also sound great too. Plus I'm doing a dystopian challenge so these work perfectly.

Throne of Glass is one I've been putting off since I first heard about it, mostly because it sounds a lot like Poison Study. I saw it really cheap after Christmas and decided to give it a try. The Masque of the Red Death was a must buy for me as it's based on Poe's original story and it sounds really creepy :)

Wildefire is another book from the Top 10 of 2012, although everyone was talking about the second in the series and I wanted to start at the beginning. It looks like the author blends a lot of different mythologies so I'm interested to see how that works out. Last up is Renegade which was a recommendation from a Goodreads friend that I decided to pick up a copy of. It's another dystopian but this time set in an underwater city so I can't wait to see how that works out :)

So what have you got to showcase this week?

  1. Throne of Glass!!! Love that book, it was really good. Under the Never Sky was good too, but I wasn't very fond of Masque of the Red Death.
I hope you have fun reading them all! I didn't get anything this week, catching up on books I already have :)

  11. Throne of Glass was my favourite book of 2012. I just finished reading Poison Study today and they are similar but enjoyed them both. I wasn't expecting Poison Study to be so good but it was such a good book! I've read Mystic City and enjoyed it, a nice take on the Romeo and Juliet story. I have to buy Under the Never Sky this week and I might just buy the second one too because I have heard such great things about the series. Breathe is sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read. It looks so good! Amazing books this week and I hope you enjoy every single one especially Throne of Glass :)

  13. Throne of Glass and Under the Never Sky are amazing! Mystic City is good too though not as amazing as the blurb made me think it would be. I also have Breathe and Masque of the Red Death which i plan to read soon and i am waiting for copies of Through the Ever Night to arrive at my local bookshop.
